NSW

Greyhounds As Pets NSW is currently a not-for-profit initiative coordinated by Greyhound Racing NSW. The initiative was established for the purpose of rehoming greyhounds from racing. Greyhounds As Pets NSW assists greyhound racing owners and trainers to transition their greyhounds into pet life.

The program has been in operation since 2008 and has Greyhounds As Pets facilities on the NSW Central Coast and in Western Sydney currently as well as Regional Programs.

The dedicated team at Greyhounds As Pets are committed to finding you the perfect companion, and more than willing to provide advice and assistance throughout the journey.

Greyhounds for Adoption

Delicia

Miss Delicia is a sweet and affectionate older female looking for a place to retire and live out her life in luxury. She is a beautiful girl with an awesome personality! Delicia is a fun loving girl who loves her soccer balls and toys, and would be fun for older kids/teens who like to play in the yard and watch her do zoomies! She is a lot of fun and brings a smile to the face of everyone who meets her. Delicia is happy to go on walks with other greyhounds and has enjoyed our group walks at the local park. In a home however Delicia would prefer to be the only dog as she does enjoy her own space and being the centre of attention. Del can settle on her own for a few hours in the backyard but would prefer her family are home more often than not.

Mabel

Meet Miss Mabel, The remarkable greyhound who embodies both sensitivity and sprightliness. Despite her age, Mabel's spirit remains vibrant and full of life. Her sensitive nature adds a touch of gentleness to her interactions, making her a beloved companion for anyone looking for a greyhound with a tender heart. Mabel is looking for a home without any other pets. Mabel's new home would preferably be a quiet home that she can enjoy her retirement in.

Rocky

Just like his namesake in the movies Rocky could be your favourite underdog! Rocky is outgoing and friendly, loves pats and being spoilt by his human companions. He would suit a home that is moderately active as he likes a bit of a run and zoom around the yard. Rocky will really bond with his new owner and become a loyal companion. He has been socialised with his little pug friend but does require a little time when meeting new friends. If you have a bit of time for a new friend and are looking for a diamond in the rough apply to meet Rocky today!
